Nov. 16, 2022 CLE: Security Interest in Patents and Standing


Description: In recent years we have witnessed an increase in the number of patents serving as collateral in financing in the United States and China. The Federal Circuit, district courts and bankruptcy courts have addressed the nuances of security interest in patents. One of the highly disputed issues related to security interest in patents is standing to bring patent infringement action. This presentation will discuss patent financing and issues concerning security in patents and prudential standing.
