Calling All WSPLA Members:
The WSPLA Mentoring Program is now live for 2021-2022! The Mentoring Program is
available to mentees who have either (1) completed their first year of law school and
have taken, or are currently taking, patent law or (2) are in their first five years of practice
as an IP/patent attorney; and to mentors who have completed at least 5 years of practice
as an IP/patent attorney.
Although the nature and scope of the relationship between mentors and mentees will be
worked out between the participants, WSPLA expects that mentors and their mentees will
meet by phone/webchat quarterly (with primary responsibility for coordinating meetings on
the mentee). If we have enough participants, and depending on interest, we may assign
participants to mentoring groups of 4 to broaden participant access to various stages of
practice and professional development.
Please sign up to be a either mentee or a mentor at wspla.org/mentormentee-program.
Registration will be open from October 15 through November 15, 2021. Once registration
is closed, the Mentoring Committee will match mentees with experienced IP attorneys.
While WSPLA membership is not required to participate, membership is certainly
encouraged!
Have questions? Feel free to reach out to Adriane Scola WSPLA Mentoring Committee Chair
