Event Materials: Patent Case Law Year-In-Review, Recent Decisions from the Federal Circuit and Supreme Court

Brian Bodine will provide his annual presentation on recent developments in patent law, including summaries of the latest Supreme Court and Federal Circuit patent cases along with a discussion of what we can expect as the Supreme Court winds up its term. He will be joined once again by Peter Heuser, who makes a similar presentation in Portland each year.
BRIAN G. BODINE is a partner in the Seattle office of Lane Powell PC. He has extensive experience litigating patent, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property related disputes. He is a Past President of the Washington State Patent Law Association and a Past Chair of the IP Section of the Washington State Bar Association. Brian is listed in Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America. He was named Lawyer of the Year for Trade Secrets Law Seattle by Best Lawyers in America. He is active in youth and high school football and lacrosse, and he has served as a manager, a coach, a photographer, and a team coordinator.
PETER E. HEUSER is a shareholder in the Portland office of Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt where he practices both patent litigation and prosecution. He has taken many cases through jury trials and argues cases to the Federal Circuit. He has been designated Best Lawyer’s IP Litigation Lawyer of the Year for Portland for 2017. Each week Pete circulates a report on precedential patent cases decided by the Federal Circuit to several hundred patent attorneys in the Northwest.
