This single-day multi-session seminar will cover a broad range of topics including:

 

• Claim drafting considerations for patent prosecution attorneys in view of Alice and § 112 and an ethics session
• Invited perspectives from the judiciary including Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and district court
• Other intellectual property issues that interplay with patent issues, including open source, the dark net, and trade secrets

 

Participants include in-house and private practitioners drawn from the Portland area and beyond, along with many others.

 

Guidance on these topics and more will be presented by leading in-house and private practitioners, as well as preeminent legal scholars. Representatives from the judiciary and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will also be invited.
